Combine the build with the integrated active MB Instrument Pre preamp and you're looking at an insane level of tonal flexibility that can be dialled in to back up virtually any genre. To maximise the playing comfort, the maple neck has been polished off with a snug C-profile, while the maple fretboard has been outlined with white binding and features a deluxe set of mother-of-pearl block position markers. Even the edge of the headstock of this one-off bass has been dipped in paint to match the body, giving the Markbass Gloxy Val five-string its own signature look.
